OneTable Pride Shabbat Initiative Welcomes Everyone to Show Up for Fridays in June for Pride 2022 as Authentic Individuals
Multiple Offerings Highlight the June Pride Month Launch
OneTable, a national non-profit that empowers young adults (21-39ish) to find, share, and enjoy Shabbat dinners, today announced the launch of the Pride Shabbat initiative to celebrate Pride Month and the LGBTQ+ community.
“Shabbat dinner should be a joyous, inclusive event,” Naomi Davis (they/them), OneTable Miami’s Field Manager added. “We encourage everyone to host their own Pride Month Shabbats each Friday in June. Our website enables anyone to find a dinner, become a host, or learn more about building community through our values of joy, welcoming, and elevation.”
OneTable is “nourishing” (subsidizing) Pride Shabbats and will help participants elevate their dinners with resources and up to $10 per guest, up to $100. For more information or to become a host, visit onetable.org/pride.
In addition, OneTable is excited to partner with JQ International, Lesbian Bar Project, Keshet, and other local partners on the Pride Shabbat initiative. Offerings are listed at onetable.org/pride, and include:
-
Pride Shabbat guide with JQ International
-
OneTable Pride Instagram Lives
-
Blog posts with resources to help people host a Pride Shabbat
-
Incentives from local/national partners to give to hosts who create Pride Shabbat dinners
