Shine A Light Shabbat Dinner
December 8, 2023
Drawing inspiration from Chanukah, the Festival of Lights, to champion the message that light can dispel darkness and hate, Shine A Light is a convening platform for organizations, companies, communities, elected officials and individuals to unite in shining a light on antisemitism in all its modern forms through education, community partnerships, workplace engagement, and policy advocacy.
For the first time, in partnership with OneTable, Shine A Light will provide special Nourishment grants to elevate Shabbat dinners on Friday, December 8.
OneTable + Shine A Light
Inspired by ancient Jewish wisdom, OneTable is a national non-profit that empowers folks to find, share, and enjoy Shabbat dinners, making the most of their Friday nights. Our social dining platform makes it easy for you to create your own experiences and build your community. OneTable has expanded its support to adults in midlife, offering Together @OneTable to serve empty-nesters ages 55 or older, and continues to offer its signature digital platform to other engagement-oriented organizations through Powered By OneTable.
Shine A Light is a purpose-driven convening platform for organizations, companies, institutions and individuals to unite in shining a light on antisemitism in all its modern forms. Drawing inspiration from the story of Chanukah, the Shine A Light initiative is fueled by an unprecedented coalition of Jewish and non-Jewish organizations from across the United States and Canada who have joined together to speak up about antisemitism and send a message that one single light can dispel darkness.
