OneTable Shatters Shabbat Dinner Record

More than 7,000 People Enjoyed a OneTable Shabbat Dinner on Erev Rosh Hashanah

OneTable, a North American non-profit best known for empowering people in their 20s and 30s to envision new rituals and build community through Shabbat dinner, has shattered its own record for Shabbat dinner participants. It enabled more than 7,000 people to gather at nearly 700 dinners across the country on September 15, Erev Rosh Hashanah. The previous record was 5,100 people at 630 dinners set in December 2022.

“OneTable has had a huge year,” noted Irit Gross, Chief Advancement Officer and Acting CEO. “This summer we supported our one hundred thousandth Shabbat dinner, and just last week we assisted a record number of people at a record number of dinners. These numbers are proof positive that young people are craving connection and finding real meaning in the traditions, rituals, and wisdom of Shabbat.”

OneTable has expanded its support to adults in midlife, offering Together @OneTable to serve empty-nesters aged 55 or older, and continues to offer its signature digital platform to other engagement-oriented organizations through Powered By OneTable. It’s also expanded into its first international location with OneTable Toronto launching this fall.
