Shavuot and Shabbat

Shavuot

Shavuot marks the giving of the Torah on Mt. Sinai and the culmination of a seven-week journey from Passover. This holiday is a great time for teaching, learning, celebration, and shared meals (especially some dairy favorites). And this year, Shavuot meets Shabbat for a meaningful overlap of rest and reflection.

Like all meaningful rituals, it isn’t just about what happened then. It’s also about what happens now. So, consider this your invitation to pause, gather, and receive something meaningful – whatever that looks like for you.

Enjoy a late-night conversation that stretches into morning, think about what you can learn or teach, and gather around the table for a dairy-filled dinner with friends. How about ice cream for dinner?!

Host a Sundaes on Friday Shabbat dinner on May 22 and share your Shabbats with us on socials by using the hashtag #sundaesonfriday.
