Taste the Season with Apple Blossom Farms

By: OneTable + Apple Blossom Farms

There’s something magical about fall apples — their crisp bite, sweet fragrance, and the way they make us feel instantly grounded. At OneTable, we love celebrating seasonal abundance, and this year we’re partnering with Apple Blossom Farms, a family-run orchard in New York’s Hudson Valley, to bring that harvest right to your Shabbat table — and ship across the lower 48 states.

Apple Blossom Farms has been growing apples for generations, carefully tending to their orchards and shipping fresh, hand-picked fruit directly to your door. Every apple arrives crisp and full of flavor, and alongside their seasonal boxes, you’ll often find thoughtful gifts like local honey or small-batch preserves. It’s all about sharing the taste of the season — simply, reliably, and with genuine care.

To inspire your own fall flavors, our very own OneTable Team has created three simple, crowd-pleasing apple recipes perfect for Shabbat dessert or anytime you’re craving a sweet seasonal treat.

Sweet Apple Tart

This rich, caramelized treat is as easy as apple pie — even easier in fact!

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 2 medium-sized fresh apples
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Optional toppings: honey, cinnamon, whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, powdered sugar

Instructions:

  1. Thaw puff pastry according to package instructions.
  2. Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Thinly slice apples. Toss lightly with brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
  4. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut into 4-6 rectangles, depending on your preferred size. Place on prepared baking sheet.
  5. Brush each pastry egg wash (combine egg with a splash of water + mix).
  6. Arrange the apple slices in a single layer in the center of each pastry, making sure to leave room around the edges for the pastry to puff up.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until pastry is puffed and golden.
  8. Add your preferred toppings and serve!

  4. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut into 4-6 rectangles, depending on your preferred size. Place on prepared baking sheet.
  5. Brush each pastry egg wash (combine egg with a splash of water + mix).
  6. Sprinkle the cheese in an even layer in each pastry.
  7. Arrange the apple slices in a single layer in the center of each pastry, making sure to leave room around the edges for the pastry to puff up.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until pastry is puffed and golden.
  9. For some extra sweetness, add a drizzle of hot honey + serve!

Apple Dump Cake

Sometimes the simplest recipes are the best. This 3-ingredient Apple Dump Cake is as easy as it sounds — perfect when you want something warm, cozy, and quick.
