ADL + the National Urban League + OneTable
March: Forward — The 60th anniversary of the March on Washington
Honor the March on Washington by bringing together people in your communities and networks for Shabbat dinner and discussion.

On August 28, 1963, Martin Luther King, Jr. stood in front of the Lincoln Memorial and delivered what would become one of the most influential speeches in history, proclaiming to the world, “I have a dream.”

In partnership with ADL and the National Urban League, we invite you to host a March: Forward Shabbat Dinner as a starting point for a meaningful dinner and engage in constructive dialogue with a plurality of perspectives.

OneTable + ADL + National Urban League

Inspired by ancient Jewish wisdom, OneTable is a national non-profit that empowers folks (21-39ish, not in undergraduate college) to find, share, and enjoy Shabbat dinners, making the most of their Friday nights. Our social dining platform makes it easy for you to create your own experiences and build your community.

ADL is the leading anti-hate organization in the world. Founded in 1913, its timeless mission is “to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all.” Today, ADL continues to fight all forms of antisemitism and bias, using innovation and partnerships to drive impact. A global leader in combating antisemitism, countering extremism and battling bigotry wherever and whenever it happens, ADL works to protect democracy and ensure a just and inclusive society for all.

The National Urban League is a historic civil rights organization dedicated to economic empowerment, equality, and social justice. Founded in 1910 and headquartered in New York City, the Urban League collaborates at the national and local levels with community leaders, policymakers, and corporate partners to elevate the standards of living for African Americans and other historically underserved groups.

OneTable is honored to join the family of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the Drum Major Institute, the National Action Network, and our partners on this guide, ADL and National Urban League, as well as the other 2023 March on Washington co-chairs: Asian Americans Advancing Justice, Human Rights Campaign, Lawyer’s Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, NAACP, the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, National Coalition on Black Civic Participation, National Council of Negro Women, and UnidosUS.
