Who can sign up to host a dinner?
We are so excited that you are interested in hosting a Shabbat dinner! We’ve created OneTable Together to support hosts in our community who are 50ish+.
Do you provide the same “Nourishment” for OneTable Together as you do for your 20s-30s program?
Nourishment for our “Core” demographic (20s-30s) is designed to help lower the barrier of hosting a Shabbat dinner for young adults. We heard from our OneTable Together hosts that they don’t need Nourishment in the same way. We do, however offer select opportunities in our pilot communities.

Why should I post my dinner on the OneTable Together platform?
- Becoming a OneTable host gives you access to a wealth of resources and allows others in your area and even across the country to find your dinners and be inspired.
- Building your community through our network of OneTable Together hosts will accelerate opportunities to meet new people in your area and help create plans for every Friday night.
- For hosts in Atlanta, Colorado, and Philadelphia (our pilot communities): Each RSVP for your dinner on the OneTable Together platform will trigger a $10 donation (up to $50) to support our 20s and 30s programming. If you’ve been waiting for just the right moment to post your next Shabbat dinner – this is it!
Who can come to my Shabbat dinner?
We are in the DIY Shabbat business. As the host, we want you to curate your event in ways that feel comfortable to you, including the guests you invite.
How can I get some help using the OneTable Together technology?
We offer a community Shabbat Hosting Workshop on Zoom each Wednesday. We invite you to register here!
Please email us at together@onetable.org with specific questions and someone from the team will get back to you.
Can you help me find a dinner in my community?
You can use the search function on the platform! On the OneTable Together homepage, try searching for the area where you would like to join a Shabbat dinner. You can filter by the dates you are available and click “search”. Then, you will see all the dinners happening at that place + time and decide which you would like to attend!
All of the dinners in my area are closed.
You can try contacting the host to see if you can join, or use this as an opportunity to create your own dinner and invite your friends. If you want more information on using the platform or inspiration for your dinner, check out our helpful guides by clicking the question mark at the bottom of the page.
I don’t really cook anymore. What do you recommend for those like myself?
We offer a potluck feature called “Let’s Collaborate”.
Can I host with a friend?
Absolutely! We offer a co-hosting feature that allows both of you to accept guests, look at the potluck features, add special reminder notes and emails, and so much more.
I really just want to talk to someone, who do I call?
We are here for you and looking forward to connecting. Every Wednesday at 12 PT/3 ET we’re on Zoom for a Shabbat Hosting Workshop.
Or, reach out to us at together@onetable.org, and someone will be in touch with you.
I have a guest who is trying to RSVP, but my dinner says it's full. However, I still have seats available.
First, check your RSVP deadline time and date. If you still have seats, but your deadline passed, the dinner will be flagged as full. You can go in and edit your RSVP date to allow potential guests to request a seat at your table.
