Senior Manager, Program Innovation

OneTable is on a mission to make Shabbat dinner the highlight of your week. We empower Jewish young adults, whether Shabbat dinner hosts or guests, to own their Friday nights — rooted in tradition, fueled by community, and reimagined their way. Over the past decade, OneTable has become the leader in the United States and Toronto for young adults seeking a personalized (and personal!) way to celebrate Shabbat dinner in their own homes. With 80,000 participants each year and counting, Shabbat-ing with OneTable is a growing movement. And, our research shows that Gen Z is now almost 50% of our participants! This changing demographic is opening new opportunities to connect young adults to a Shabbat dinner practice, including gathering in new and exciting ways.

Job Description

OneTable seeks a dynamic and innovative team member to be our first-ever Senior Manager, Program Innovation. This new role, which sits on OneTable’s Advancement Team and reports to the Senior Director of Program Innovation, will shape programs and tactics that meet the needs of current young adults — a combination of Gen Z and Millennials — elevating OneTable Shabbat dinners as the place to be on Friday nights. We are looking for an outgoing, strategic risk-taker with an eye for curating deeply impactful in-person social experiences. The Senior Manager, Program Innovation will integrate their learnings into collaborations across OneTable departments to help build the future of our work.

A few more highlights of this role:

  1. Helping test new ways for young adults to engage with Shabbat and Jewish life through experience, relationships, and brand presence.
  2. Bringing new program pilots to life through hands-on execution, especially live, in-person events, and then sharing real-time insights with the rest of our team.
  3. Acting as a visible, trusted representative of OneTable in a variety of communities across the country, building excitement, connection, and belonging.

Specific responsibilities include:

Program Pilot & Event Execution

  • Represent the OneTable brand with warmth, clarity, and confidence in public-facing settings and with our participant and partner communities.
  • Be on-site and execution-lead at events (including OneTable fundraisers as necessary) in select major cities, acting as host, emcee, and OneTable ambassador as appropriate. Project manage venues, vendors, budget, run-of-show, ritual leadership, and live troubleshooting when plans shift.

Learning, Iteration & Program Development

  • Gather feedback from participants, partners, and collaborators before, during, and after events to amplify our scale and cultural impact.
  • Share observations, patterns, and suggestions with internal teams to inform future program design and decision-making, contributing to a deeper understanding of each pilot’s impact and implications for the future of OneTable.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Support partners in understanding OneTable’s goals, values, and approach, and help ensure strong execution on the ground.
  • Work closely with Advancement colleagues to help translate experiences into clear stories about impact and learning.
  • Communicate consistently and clearly with colleagues using tools such as Slack, Zoom, Google Suite, and project management platforms.

Key Attributes/Skill Set (Must Have):

  • You have experience executing live events, programs, or activations and enjoy being on the ground where things are happening.
  • You derive joy from elevating experiences and creating a sense of FOMO around a brand as a whole and any singular event or experience. You love persuading, influencing, and engaging others.
  • You are organized, collaborative, and flexible — able to adapt when plans change without losing momentum, and are excited to work across teams, sharing what you’re learning as you go.
  • You are excited about the possibility of working collaboratively with a marketing team to elevate our brand through engaging online content derived from your work.
  • You are curious about Jewish life and Shabbat, and excited by the opportunity to help others take a first or next step into that experience.
  • You are willing to travel for events and to work evenings and Fridays as part of live program execution.
  • You are comfortable navigating uncertainty and understand that testing, learning, and adjusting are part of building something meaningful.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $67,000-$74,000 plus the following benefits:

  • Health insurance — medical, dental, and vision insurance currently through Aetna; OneTable pays 85% of the healthcare premium for each employee and 50% for dependents.
  • 5% retirement match after 13 months.
  • Pre-tax commuter benefits, a flexible or health spending account (FSA or HSA), short and long-term disability, and life insurance.
  • Time off:
    • Paid time off (PTO) for personal, sick days, and vacation.
    • The office is closed for all major Jewish holidays and most federal holidays.
    • OneTable offices are also closed the July 4th week and December 25 – January 1.
    • As an organization rooted in the mission of spreading Shabbat, we know the importance of having time on Fridays to start winding down and preparing for our favorite weekly holiday. The OneTable offices close at 3:00 pm (local time) every Friday and at 12:00 pm on the first Friday of each month.
  • Optional and discounted identity theft protection, legal assistance program, pet insurance, travel insurance, critical illness, accident, hospital indemnity insurance, and more.
  • This position is an exempt salaried position, which is not eligible for overtime.
    • This is a full-time, exempt position generally based on a 40-hour workweek. Because of the pace and demands of our work, there will be times when responsibilities require availability outside standard business hours. Flexibility is supported, though salaried positions do not accrue hour-for-hour comp time.
  • This position is a full-time senior manager-level role. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and aligned with OneTable’s compensation framework.
